I'll warn you ahead of time that this post won't be nearly as lengthy as the post on Kauai due to the sheer fact that this trip wasn't on my greatest list. We flew in to the Fort Myers airport and were staying on Marco Island in a condo we booked through RCI {timeshare trading}. The condo was really nice, we were right on the bay and had awesome sunsets. At this point our oldest was 2 years old and our second was 5 months old. The flight went well and I think just talking to the children in this case entertained them as TV and games weren't really appropriate yet! {sigh}
There really wasn't much to see. I think it could be a good destination for a family that is looking to relax, spend some time at the beach and the pool and really just hang out. Couples without children who are looking for a nice quiet little town to stay in would like this area as well. We like our vacations to be a little more active.
We did some driving around, went to Naples and went to the beach quite a bit... We drove 2 hours to the Miami Zoo for a day and stopped on Alligator Alley...I didn't get out of the car, figured it was safer to look at them through the window :)
Not many photos came of this trip but I'll share what I have.
My apologies for the lack of content, but there really wasn't much here. The children enjoyed the beach and our oldest really liked the pool. I'll have more on our next destination.
Enjoy!
